Terms of Service

Welcome to Scaletchi AI (the “Service”) at scaletchi.com. By using our Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use our Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are a teacher, lecturer, or adult user. We do not knowingly provide the Service to children under 16.

Account registration

To use Scaletchi AI, you must create an account via Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may not share your account with others. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.

Subscription and payments

Some features of the Service require a subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your full payment information; Stripe manages all payment processing and storage.

Free users are limited to 3 AI-generated topics per day.

Subscribers receive unlimited AI-generated topics according to their plan.

Payments are non-refundable after purchase. You may cancel future recurring subscriptions at any time.

AI-generated content

Our Service uses Google’s Gemini AI to generate lesson plans based on the prompts you submit. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the content before using it in a classroom. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.

You receive full rights to use, adapt, and reuse the lesson plans generated through the Service. You may not represent content generated by the AI as your own if you are subject to copyright restrictions from third-party material you include in prompts.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to transmit harmful content, or to attempt to disrupt, hack, or abuse the Service. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations of these Terms or abusive behavior. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@scaletchi.com. Termination does not entitle you to refunds for previous payments.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scaletchi AI, its owners, employees, or affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to educational losses, errors in AI-generated content, or technical issues with the Service.

Intellectual property

All rights to the Scaletchi AI platform, website design, logos, and software belong to David Scaletchi and Sara Lopes Santos. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the platform and content for personal or professional educational purposes.

Privacy

Personal data collected through the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing described therein.

International users

The Service is accessible worldwide. By using it, you agree to comply with local laws. Portuguese law governs these Terms, and disputes are subject to Portuguese courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates your acceptance.
